Attorney John J. Mattey
Helping Accident Victims for Over Twenty Years
Whether you were injured by another vehicle or a semi truck, the Law Offices of John J. Mattey, LLC has the experience to handle your injury claim.
Riding and/or training on Colorado’s roadways can be rewarding for cyclists. The scenery and fresh air as well as the elevation changes challenge elite and casual cyclists. However, Colorado’s wide open roads encourages higher motor vehicle speeds and, in some circumstances, simply careless driving. If you are injured by the negligence of a motor vehicle operator, we have the experience to help you.
A Diminished Value Claim arises in a situation in which you are involved in an accident that is not your fault and the at-fault party’s insurer is paying for the repairs to your vehicle. In addition to reimbursement for your rental expenses and loss of use, the at-fault party is responsible for paying the difference in value of your vehicle from the day before the accident to the day after the accident.
CRS 10-3-1115 creates a legal obligation for insurance companies to behave “reasonably” in first party claims. If an insurer acts unreasonably, you may be entitled to double damages and attorney’s fees.
Motorcycle riding is an experience unique to Colorado. If you are injured by the negligence of a motor vehicle operator, we have the experience to help you.
If you are injured on the property of another, you may have a premises liability claim. Generally, and simply stated, the landowner has duty to warn you of dangers they knew or should have known existed.
For Mattey Law, the most crucial difference is contact – we do everything to make sure that there is a clear understanding of your case.
